Interactions with Online Media Content and Memory
Samantha Barbosa, PhD student
In partnership with the Child Memory Lab at Wilfrid Laurier University, I am inviting children between the ages of 7-14 years old and one of their parents or guardians to participate in a study about children's internet and website knowledge!

This study includes one session at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Child Memory Lab or one online session over Zoom! Before the first visit, you will be asked to complete an online informed consent and questionnaire which will take no more than 10 minutes. The session will take approximately 35-40 minutes. The Children will interact with online content and will answer some questions about what they saw and their website knowledge!

The purpose of this study is to better understand how children interact with and process online information. We are hoping to measure children’s general knowledge on websites and the credibility of the online content. Our study utilizes new online eye-tracking technology that allows us to track participants' eye-movements and map their gaze when looking at online content! Your participation will help contribute to important, scientific research on children’s internet and website knowledge! This research study has received clearance through the Laurier Research Ethics Board (REB #8864).

Parents/Guardians will receive compensation of a $15 Amazon or Indigo e-gift card for their children's participation.
